hi in this guide i will tell you what weapons to use at which level in attack to ensure your level increases at maximum rates.

lvl 1 attack     ---> iron weapons (in starter)

lvl 10 attack   ---> black/white weapons (player made)

lvl 20 attack   ---> mithrill weapons (player made)

lvl 30 attack   ---> adamant weapons (player made)

lvl 40 attack   ---> rune weapons (in starter)

lvl 50 attack   ---> granite maul (idk where the hell it is)

lvl 60 attack   ---> dragon weapons (in starter/buy from zeke at edge bank)

lvl 70 attack   ---> abyssal whip (buy from zeke at edge bank)
                      ---> barrows weapons (buy from giles at edge bank)

lvl 75 attack   ---> godswords (buy from players/donor store)

lvl 80 attack   ---> chaotic weapons (buy from dungeonering store/buy from players)
